How to update the router firmware

Firmware is the software that is installed on the hardware to make it work and decide how tasks will be performed according to the user. In addition, firmware is responsible for new functions, allowing manufacturers to add features to their products.

Keeping firmware up to date is the best way to ensure that hardware is operating at peak performance. WiFi routers also have firmware, and keeping it up to date is recommended.

Newer routers are now configured to update automatically, so the user does not have to worry about it. However, some older routers still require manual updates.

To upgrade the router firmware, you need to download the firmware file from the manufacturer’s website to obtain an upgrade file compatible with your router. This file can be used to update the router firmware from the router settings.
