3. A screen will appear requesting a user name and password. Enter the User: TELMEX and the Password which is printed on a label underneath your modem. It is usually labeled “Password (WPA)” or “Password”. Then click “Login” or “Login“.
Changing your WiFi Password and Name on Arcadyan Models
If your modem is an Arcadyan modem, follow these steps to change the password and name of your network:
1. Once inside the interface, look for the “Wireless LAN” option in the menu and select “2.4G“. If you want to change the settings for the 5GHz band, choose “5G“.
2. In the “SSID1” field, enter the new name you want for your WiFi network. This is the name you will see when you search for available networks.
3. In the “Shared Key” field, type the new password you want to set for your WiFi. Make sure it is secure and easy to remember.
4. Click “Save” to apply the changes. Your modem may reboot to update the configuration.
Changing the Configuration on Alcatel-Lucent Models
If your modem is an Alcatel-Lucent modem, the process is similar but with slight differences:
1. From the main menu, select “Network” and then click “Wireless (2.4GHz)“. If you want to configure the 5GHz band, select “Wireless (5GHz)“.
2. Inside “SSID configuration“, you will find the field “SSID name“. Here you can enter the new name for your WiFi network.
3. In the “WPA Key” field, enter the new password you wish to use.
4. Press “Save” to apply the changes. Your network will now display the new name and require the new password to connect.
Configuring your Huawei Modem
For Huawei modems, follow these steps to change the SSID and password:
1. Navigate to the “Home Network” or “Home Network” section and select “WLAN Settings” or “WLAN Settings“.
2. Click on “Basic Settings” or “Basic Settings“. Here you can enable or disable the WLAN 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands. Make sure they are enabled and click “Save” or “Save“.

4. Click “Apply Changes” to save and apply the new settings.
